Lighting for DJs and parties
Lights that move with the music, an APC mini as your controller and no licences to pay.
What you need
- A few LED PARs, a bar or a couple of moving heads
- An affordable USB DMX interface
- If you like, an Akai APC mini or APC mini mk2
How you do it
Scenes by groups
Colours in one exclusive group, effects in another and smoke or strobe in a third: each button plays without stopping the others.
On the beat
BeatGO moves the scenes on with each beat you tap on its button or the G key, and Pulse moves them with the peaks of the computer’s audio input.
The APC mini as a console
Its template puts the scenes of one group on each column of pads, with their LEDs, and the group masters and the grand master on the faders.
Effects in a minute
Ready-made FX macros (circle, wave, rainbow, strobe…) on the fixtures you choose, with their speed on the BPM.
